The J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Initial Quality Study includes 2024 model year vehicles purchased or leased between November 2023 and February 2024. Customers own the vehicles for 90 days following their purchase and then complete the J.D. Power survey. Plant awards are based on the lowest number of customer-reported defect/malfunction problems per vehicle. This year, TMMC’s South Plant in Cambridge, Ontario won the top award in the North and South America Region for building the Lexus RX. This is the eleventh award for TMMC’s South Plant.

Between 1991 and 2024, TMMC has been recognized with 22 awards. These include three platinum awards, awarded to the top automotive manufacturing plant in the world. TMMC remains the most awarded plant in the Americas and is now tied for the top spot as the most awarded plant in the world.
